Altough getting familiar with the iPhone's cool applications and great features can be easy as 1-2-3, many people still have missed the trick because they have not taken the time to learn the secrets of their iPhone. If you own an Apple iPhone and have been using it for more than a week, you probably have uncovered already the trick, but for those who are not. Here it is!

If you are viewing a picture, video, web page, or email the double tap will zoom in. To zoom back out, just double tap again. If you are viewing the map the double tap will keep zooming in to more and more detailed view. And a two-fingered double tap will zoom back out.

Sounds typical? Yes, but to actually experience it and being able to discover this trick is surreal! The Double Tap is an extension of the single tap. You may think that to double tap a single item on your iPhone screen will be rarely needed, because every icon and link on the interface seems to react with a simple one-tap motion. However, interfaces like in Photos, Video, Movies and Maps do react to double-tapping differently than if you were to only tap the screen once.

When watching a movie or video, you will notice that the screen is showing a letterbox image. This is when there are two black lines under and above the picture, which gives you a wider view. To be able to watch the movie in full screen version, just double tap the screen. However, the full screen version may cut off the words if you're watching a movie with subtitle. To turn your screen back to letterbox view, just double tap your iPhone screen again.

Another great use of double tapping your iPhone screen is when you want to have an enhanced view of a picture on a web page. The image can be magnified two times its default size by just double tapping the image.

Generally, double tapping means zooming into whatever you tapped on your iPhone screen. Just double tap the image and the image will be magnified twice its size. You, definitely, will not uncover this trick if you haven't given the time to play around with your amazing iPhone.

More often than not, to be able to experience the best features of your iPhone or any other PDA phones, you may have to uncover its hidden tricks... and yes time is needed. This trick here is to nothing more than utilizing what is already been built-into the iPhone.
